On 01.04.23 it was time for a new one and so it went (once again) to Leipzig. In April-usual weather conditions, a joint venture of players from a local football club in Freiberg, the sports comrades of the TU Dresden and the SilverCityFlags started. In each-against-each mode they competed with 2 other teams. After the long indoor season, the most important thing was to bring the practiced skills and new moves on the grass and to find the right matchups in competition with other opponents. The field of participants was very balanced and so the mixed squad from East Saxony was able to record a few narrow victories in the end.
Junior Coach Alex:
"Of course it was very nice to be able to play in the fresh air again. Personally, I really liked the fact that our course participants were able to keep up against established flag pullers from Leipzig and contribute with decisive plays to a successful tournament conclusion. Therefore I am looking forward to the upcoming semester and the new rookies in flag football".
