Robert Wetzel (right) from SV Grün-Weiß Niederwiesa wins the Winter Cup 25, organized by the chess group of the TU Bergakademie Freiberg. He came out on top with 9 out of a possible 9 points.
Amritesh Ray (7 points) and Johannes Luft (6) also took second and third place respectively. Everyone agreed that chess really isn't boring.
Everyone will be able to see this for themselves when the Silver Cup 25 of our Silver City takes place on June 14 in the Brauhof ballroom. Preparations are underway.
